Today is my boyfriend's Grandmother's 60th Birthday. His cousin may have the swine flu. Cousin has not yet been confirmed with Swine Flu, but there is a very good chance that it is, indeed, the Swine Flu. Cousin is attending 60th party. Don't know why, but he is. We had to cancel our attendance to the party. My job allows me to have PTO if I am sick. My boyfriend isn't so lucky. He doesn't get paid anything if he misses work, sick or not. So now we are in a dilemma. Grandma is upset that we aren't coming and wont let us take her out for a day or make her dinner or anything of the sort to make it up to here. We can't go because if my boyfriend gets sick, he could be out of work for several weeks and we depend on his salary to pay the bills.

So now we are stuck. Hope that Grandma comes around in the next few days, or go to the party, get sick, and have to live without internet, air conditioning/heat, and cell phones.

*sigh*
